My first Christmas with my new family was so much fun. I didn’t really know what Christmas was before, but they showed me everything. I was really confused when they brought a big tree into the house. Then they started putting things on it, they called them ornaments, to decorate it. It was my very first Christmas tree ever!
We woke up early Christmas morning. Underneath the tree were all kinds of boxes covered in bright paper. My family told me they were Christmas presents. I got to tear off the paper and open the box to see what was inside. I couldn’t believe my mommy made me a present!
After we ate breakfast we went to this really fun place they called Disneyland. There were lots of people there. We walked all over and rode rides. My favorite ride was “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.” It was so bright and happy. Afterwards I had my picture taken with some of the people from the ride.
- Buddy, Piglet, Pooh and Tigger Too!
When we got home I was sooooo tired! My mommy tucked me into my new bed and I had a great nights sleep with very happy dreams!
We stopped at a little place to get a snack. I was sitting on the table and my brother gave me a worm to eat! It was huge! I thought it was going to eat me! He laughed and told me it was a gummy worm! I tried to eat it, but it looked like something that used to chase me in the garden so I gave it back. I’ll stick to the blueberry tart!
Finally we got to the end of the strip. It was really beautiful! We stopped to look at the view for a few minutes. I couldn’t believe that all this was going on just outside my garden. My family said that the car was just across the street and we would be leaving in the morning to go home. I was very excited to be going with them, but I was also a little scared. If all this was on one street just outside my garden, what was in the rest of the world?
Across the street at the New York New York casino there was a GIANT statue. My dad said it was a copy of the Statue of Liberty. I thought she was beautiful. The sun was going down behind her head and she was lit up.
I asked my mom to take a picture of me around the bottom of the statue so I could always remember her.
My family took me to M&M world. It was next to the MGM Grand. It was four floors of candy and stuff. I fell into this bathtub full of weird looking guys! I wanted to stay and play but we had stuff to do so off we went.
We stopped to eat at the buffet at Excalibur. There were lots of things to choose from. I had some vegetables and fruit and turkey. But my very favorite thing was a blueberry tart. It was creamy and sweet and had giant blueberries on top. It was bigger than me!
We were walking through Excalibur when my family got excited. They said this guy was on something called “TV” whatever that is. I wasn’t sure what they were excited about. All I saw was a big yellow box with a face. He didn’t move or anything. My sister told me it was another statue. There sure are a lot of those around here! Oh well! He was funny so we took a picture. Here I am with something called a “Spongebob Squarepants.”
